I’ve been an admirer of Sarah Young since I bought a woodcut of hers called ‘Eden’ from Newark Antiques Fair nearly twenty years ago. It hung on my wall at university, in my first home, and everywhere ever since. I never get tired of looking at it, and love the clarity and stylised simplicity of her vision.
She’s doing some beautiful art at the moment – I love this Woman with Birds print and the Sea Alphabet series. Her work is magical and satisfyingly sinister; the perfect accessory for the ghostly home.
